Super Grape has 20 chromosomes!
The super grape has been discovered to contain an extra chromosome and it is the muscadine grape.
• There are 4 key mechanisms to cellular aging that resveratrol addresses:
o DNA protection and repair. Our body has a tremendous ability to fight off assaults on your DNA. However you can get errors and mutations that lead to cellular mutations.
o Increases the power and activity of these cells. Young healthy genes are effective for maintaining vitality. As you get older your cellular function decreases. A decrease in cellular energy production with lower
mitochondria
means more free radicals.
o Slows down productions of AGE proteins. Age proteins from excess sugars in our diet can lead to cell dysfunction and cell death.
o Turns on the two longevity genes that have been identified in the body
The
super grape
called Muscadine, is larger than standard red wine grapes, and only grows in the U.S. in the South and Southeast. It has a very thick skin where we get the polyphenols from in addition to the grape seeds where we get the beneficial compounds. This grape has an extra chromosome (20 chromosomes) versus 19 found in standard grapes. This equals extra health benefits. Studies show this super grape inhibits the formation of age proteins. It protects against
DNA damage.
• There was a lab study at the University of Georgia showing a 10% increase in the inhibition of the age proteins slowing down. Resveratrol supports joint health, provides anti oxidant protection, heart health, and enhanced immunity.
• There are issues we face every day:
• Nutritional deficiencies, empty calories, nutrient poor dietary excesses, low energy which in turn creates aging at the cellular level. We have a problem with obesity in America. We face immunity assaults and challenges every day.
• Resveratrol and good nutrition can provide better bio markers and better blood levels.
